Phung (left) Waits for Opponent to Make the Call
Cuong Phung (Atlantic City, NJ) wins a 230k pot on the last hand before dinner and has the chip lead with 338k.
The board is 4♣ 8♦ 8♥ J♠ 8♠
A player in early position bets 30k, and Phung comes over the top for 50k more. The initial bettor tanks says, "guess I won't be a chip leader any more," as he drops 10 grey chips into the pot.
Phung shows J♣ 5♥ for a full house and his opponent folds, dropping to less than 200k.
