Larry Greenberg (Boston, MA) took a bad beat when his Opponent, Nipi had A-8. Greenberg flopped two pair with A-3 then the board came runner, runner K-K for the counterfeit.
"So when I looked down at A-8, the hand that beat me, I figured I'd go all in with it" explained Larry who was short stacked at the time. Uh-oh, his A♣ 8♥ ran into K♣ K♦ and Q♦Q♥.
When the dust settled there was a straight on the board but Larry's Ace of clubs beat out Nipi's King of clubs. Whew! With that triple up Greenberg is up to 22,000.
