Event 15: Former Champ Waits & Waits, &.....

$1500 + $150 Heads Up No Limit Hold'em

Harder (right) Waits with Gnidash while
the Pomponio/Alan Kornblau Match Continues

Christian Harder (Annapolis, MD) won this event in September and is ready to defend is title, but five hours in, he's yet to play a hand.

"This is crazy," says Harder, who's watching college basketball to pass the time. Harder, who had a bye in the first round is waiting for the Thomas Pomponio/Alan Kornblau match to conclude so he can play his first match.

The deep structure and best of three format can lead to marathon matches and Harder isn't the only one waiting. Denis Gnidash is next in line after winning two matches, he'll play in the third round against the winner of Harder vs TBD, but has no idea when that will be.

On the flip side a couple of players have been breezing through the competition.

Darren Elias has already won two matches, while Alex Queen is also into the third round. The 2010 Spring Poker Open Champion had a bye in the first round and only needed one hour to sweep Eracles Panayiotou in the second.
