Big Hand for Jedi

$2500 + $200 CHAMPIONSHIP Double Play Re-Entry NLH

On the last hand of the night Alex "Jedi" Nepomnyaschiy (Staten Island, NY) wins a huge hand and unofficially vaults to second in the chip counts.

Holding 9 10 "Jedi" Alex and his opponent, who both have 90k, see a flop of 7 8 2 with one diamond. After calling a bet Nepomnyaschiy warns his opponent that he has a big hand. The turn is a beautiful J giving Nepomnyaschiy the nut straight and a flush draw.

"Jedi" Alex smooth calls 15k and says, "why are you doing this to me?"

The river is the 5 ♠, his opponent moves all in for ~70k, and Nepomnyaschiy snap calls with the nuts. His opponent folds and Nepomnyaschiy doesn't need any Jedi mind tricks to scoop the 180k pot.
