Event 18: 4th Place - Marshall

$1000 + $90 No Limit Hold'em

Richard Marshall (Raleigh, NC)
$19,419

Richard runs good at Borgata. In fact he credits Borgata as the place where he built his bankroll and turned pro. Before Richard took 2nd in Event 5 at the 2006 Summer Poker Open he was a painter and used his non-manicured hands for a living.

Now the only paint he looks at are on face-cards.

Richard also finished 15th in the WPT Championship Event at the 2011 Borgata Poker Open.

As for today's tournament he just ran his A-J short stack into K-K of Jason Min.

Cowboys held up on a board of: 5-3-9-7-6.

The hand that crippled him was when his A-J lost to Avraham Lipman's A-2 full-house.

"I could have climbed back in if we hadn't chopped another big pot where I had A-K vs. A-10" explained Marshall. Board there was double paired with J-J-2-9-9.

Richard enjoys talking to the table and has a friendly, likable table image. He commented how back in 2006-2007 nobody really knew how to play poker and things were easier then.

Apparently Richard has made the proper adjustments to today's game as he just finished in 4th Place amongst a tough final table and tournament field.

Richard Marshall finished in 4th Place earning $19,419.
