5 High Shove = Winner

$2500 + $200 CHAMPIONSHIP NLH

Former chip leader Mikhail Zemlyansky (Hewlett, NY) and his opponent check the flop of Q 9♣ 4♠.

The turn is the 9♠ and Zemlyansky bets 13k. The remaining player makes it 40k, Zemlyansky moves all in for 93k, and the player calls.

Zemlyansky: 3 5 (five high)
Opponent: K♠ J♠ (king high, flush draw, gutshot straight draw)

River: 5

The table erupts as Zemlyansky hits a pair of fives to take his stack back to more than 200k. "You're supposed to fold there," says Zemlyansky.

The reply, "how can I fold, I'm supposed to win there."

Level 15 (1,200/2,400/300 ante) is underway.
